Terms of Service

These are the terms between you and ShowBinder when you use the platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

ShowBinder is operated as a sole-trader project by Arlen Mardoian, based in the United Kingdom. In these terms, "we", "us" and "ShowBinder" mean the same thing. "You" means the person or business using the service.

2. What ShowBinder does

ShowBinder lets card vendors publish a live inventory page on the web, generate a QR code to display at their table, and let buyers browse what's available without downloading an app. We provide the tool. We don't broker transactions, take payment, or handle delivery — every sale is directly between you (the vendor) and the buyer.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create a vendor account.
• You're responsible for keeping your password and account secure.
• The information you provide (vendor name, contact details, inventory) must be accurate.
• One account per person or business. Don't create accounts to impersonate others.

4. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of every listing you publish — card names, conditions, grades, prices, quantities, and any other details.
• Honouring the prices and stock you advertise (or honestly updating listings as cards sell or change).
• Complying with consumer law, distance selling rules, and tax obligations that apply to your sales.
• Authenticity of cards you sell. ShowBinder does not authenticate, grade, or verify any card listed on the platform.
• Handling buyer enquiries, payments, refunds and disputes directly.

5. What you can't do

You agree not to:

• List counterfeit, stolen, or knowingly mis-described cards or products.
• List anything illegal under UK or EU law.
• Use the platform to harass, defraud, or mislead buyers.
• Attempt to break, abuse, or reverse-engineer the service, or interfere with other vendors' data.
• Scrape, copy, or republish the platform or other vendors' inventory data without permission.
• Use ShowBinder to send spam or unsolicited marketing.

We may suspend or close any account that breaches these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

6. Pricing

ShowBinder is currently free to use during the beta period. We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, existing free vendors will be given clear notice before any paid features replace currently-free ones.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the inventory data, photos, vendor name and any other content you upload. By using ShowBinder, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display and process that content for the purpose of running the service — for example, showing your inventory to buyers who visit your page.

You're responsible for making sure you have the right to use any images or text you upload. Don't upload anything that infringes someone else's intellectual property. Card images sourced automatically through ShowBinder's database are provided for identification purposes only.

8. Service availability

We work hard to keep ShowBinder running, but we can't promise 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may take the service offline for maintenance, updates, or unexpected reasons. Where possible we'll give notice — but during a card show, we still strongly recommend you keep a paper backup of your inventory just in case.

9. Closing your account

You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We can close or suspend your account if you breach these terms. On closure, your data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, ShowBinder is not liable for:

• Lost sales, lost profits, or business interruption.
• Disputes between vendors and buyers.
• The accuracy of card data sourced from third-party databases.
• Loss or damage caused by service outages, beta-stage bugs, or third-party providers we rely on (e.g. hosting, authentication).

Nothing in these terms limits liability for things that can't legally be limited — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breaches of statutory consumer rights.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. For material changes, we'll notify active vendors by email. Continuing to use ShowBinder after changes means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence says otherwise.
